BIDMAS at a glance

Bidmas, Bodmas, Bedmas or Pemdas are acronyms that details the correct order in which mathematical operators should be applied.

The acronym stands for brackets or parentheses, indices or order of powers or exponents, multiplication and division, and addition and subtraction. Not following the order of operations will result in a variety of different answers that are not correct.

Looking forward, students can then progress to additional Number worksheets, for example a Rounding Numbers Worksheet or a Estimation worksheet.
